Plainfield is asking for an investigation by federal, state, and county authorities into the town’s quickly shuttered rescue squad, based on an announcement launched by the town.

Town has accused the Plainfield Rescue Squad, which has offered emergency medical companies to residents in Union County’s third-largest metropolis for greater than 70 years, of mismanagement, an absence of accountability and failure to file tax returns since 2019.
