In Atlantic City, casinos are looking to staff up and are hopeful they may have more applications now that the extended unemployment benefits have ended. The Hard Rock Hotel and Casino held a job fair this week and received more than 100 applicants, according to Press of Atlantic City. Many applicants were hired on the spot; the Borgata is due to hold a job fair next week.

AtlantiCare is building a $38 million medical arts pavilion. The facility will give AtlantiCare the ability to expand its services in the region and is expected to open in about a year.

Suez Water customers living in Hoboken will get a seven-day credit on their quarterly bills following the boil-water advisory that came after last week’s flooding. Meantime, Jersey City is also in talks with the company for a credit for its residents. The boil-water advisory was in place for three days after Tropical Storm Ida.
