Slovenia’s NPP Krsko electrical energy output barely exceeds goal in February

LJUBLJANA (Slovenia), March 16 (SeeNews) – Slovenia’s sole nuclear energy plant Krsko produced 464,308 MWh of electrical energy internet in February, 0.5% above plan, the plant operator mentioned.

Gross electrical energy output totalled 489,386 MWh in February, Krsko mentioned in a press release on Tuesday.

A complete of 10.1 cubic metres of low and intermediate-level radioactive waste was saved in February, Krsko mentioned.

Krsko NPP, situated in Slovenia close to the border with Croatia, generates some 40% of Slovenia’s electrical energy output. It operates a Westinghouse pressurised mild water reactor of two,000 MW thermal energy capability.
