For years, period-absorbing underwear model Thinx bought itself as an unfussy, unhazardous, natural different to conventional menstrual merchandise via playful adverts on subways and social media.

Now, the New York firm is providing compensation after a class-action lawsuit, which accused Thinx of deceptive prospects by advertising its merchandise as freed from dangerous chemical substances once they weren’t. Thinx “denies the entire allegations within the lawsuit and denies that Thinx did something improper or illegal,” the settlement says.
