LANSING – Police arrested six individuals Saturday evening after a gaggle of 30 to 40 individuals vandalized and broken the outside of a financial institution close to the Frandor Buying Heart, stated Lansing Police Sgt. Kevin Schlagel.
Schlagel declined to present the precise location of the incident however stated the financial institution home windows have been damaged and graffiti was written on the constructing.
On Sunday morning, the home windows of Financial institution of America within the 300 block of Frandor Avenue have been boarded up and a spray-painted message studying “cease cop metropolis” was written on the outside of the constructing.
“No entry (into the financial institution) was made and the harm would not seem as in the event that they have been attempting to make entry,” Schlagel stated.
No different buildings or properties within the space have been broken, he stated.
Police responded to the incident, which occurred throughout a protest within the space, at 9:48 p.m., Schlagel stated, and police are nonetheless investigating the incident.
Schlagel declined to launch expenses for the six arrested, including that they haven’t but been arraigned.
Michigan State Police and different companies assisted Lansing Police on the scene, he stated.
