To accommodate increased demand for COVID-19 testing and expedite the testing process,
West Virginia University is moving its testing site at the
Student Recreation Center from classroom G44 to the facility’s
lower gym beginning Monday (Sept. 13).
In partnership with the
Monongalia County Health Department, WVU will continue to offer on-campus COVID-19
community testing opportunities at the Rec Center:
- Mondays – 8 a.m. to noon
- Tuesdays – noon to 4 p.m.
- Wednesdays – noon to 4 p.m.
- Thursdays – 8 a.m. to noon
- Fridays – 8 a.m. to noon
As a reminder, community testing is open to
WVU employees and residents of Monongalia County.
No appointment is required, and free parking is available in Area 49.
Attendees should wear a face mask and practice physical distancing at the testing
site. Attendees also should bring identification (driver’s license or proof of
address).
In addition to those who have been identified to participate in
sample testing, students who are
symptomatic or who have been identified as a
close contact to someone who tested positive for COVID-19 also are welcome
at the clinics.
