NEMEP Opens Fall Virtual Education Week Registration

The event offers multiple days of online education sessions from the Northeast association. NEMEP is targeting 2022 for its return to in-person events.

The Northeast Medical Equipment Providers Association (NEMEP) has opened registration for its Fall Virtual Education Week, which will educate members in an online format from Sept. 27 to Oct. 1, while the association aims to return to in-person education in 2022.

Providers can register for sessions individually at $25 a session for each person or select a package of all four sessions for $89.

The sessions are:

Sept. 27 at 2 p.m. (Eastern Time), Payer Relations: State & National, presented by Laura Williard and David Chandler from the American Association for Homecare.

Sept. 28 at 11 a.m., The “Hot Spots” in the Revenue Cycle: Identifying those spots that can and will turn into an inferno, presented by Kit Shellhouse of ECS North.

Sept. 28 at 2 p.m., Operations/HR: Healthy Mental Work-Life and Staffing Issues.

Sept. 30 at 10 a.m., Technology Trends and Tools, a panel discussion on automating, electronic medical records, order placement and receipt, docu-sign, telehealth, and OSA devices, moderated by Miriam Lieber for Lieber Consulting

Additionally, NEMEP added the American Association for Homecare’s Sept. 29 virtual Washington Legislative Conference to the week’s agenda. The virtual lobbying event runs 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. (Eastern Time) that day, with AAHomecare staff scheduling meetings between HME advocates and members of Congress and legislative staff using Advocacy Associates’ virtual meeting platform.
