Rooted in Wyoming has been making good things grow in Sheridan County since early 2016 by building and nurturing community and school gardens in Sheridan County. Rooted in Wyoming Executive Director Lise Foy says the garden restaurant collaboration is new this year and has provided a full circle experience for students, as they get to plant, plant, water, weed, harvest, and now cook produce from their garden with a local chef.
Rooted in Wyoming Board Member Kim Jacobsen says the garden restaurant collaboration is another example of building community through partnerships.
The collaborations with local businesses will be part of the menu at the 5th annual Farm to Table and Hoedown fundraiser for Rooted in Wyoming on Saturday, September 25th from 4 to 7 pm at Born in a Barn. Ticket information can be found here.
