MONTPELIER, Vt. (AP) – The Vermont Division of Tourism and Advertising has has awarded just below $600,000 in regional advertising and marketing grants to 22 organizations to spice up tourism.

The Tourism and Financial Restoration Advertising Grant program was developed to help financial restoration by supporting regional efforts to extend visitation and tourism-related actions. The grants are supposed to allow native, regional, or statewide organizations to extend client spending, assist native companies, and advance neighborhood restoration efforts within the tourism sector.

Vermont Tourism and Advertising Commissioner Heather Pelham says that because the tourism sector continues its restoration from the COVID-19 pandemic, it’s important to have assets to draw and invite guests.
