SIOUX FALLS, S.D.–Augustana baseball will make its house debut on Tuesday, internet hosting the Dakota Wesleyan Tigers in a day doubleheader. The Vikings enter the matchup 8-3-1 after getting back from a 10-game journey to Florida. The primary sport of the doubleheader is scheduled for 3 p.m. at Ronken Discipline.
The Tigers
Dakota Wesleyan is 5-4 general this season. The Tigers compete within the NAIA Nice Plains Athletic Convention. Dakota Wesleyan has not performed a convention sport but this season. In the newest contest for DWU, the Tigers fell to Wheaton Faculty, 12-9.
The Vikings and Tigers haven’t performed for the reason that 2013 season and AU has gained 12 straight video games within the collection. In all, Augustana is 28-7 towards DWU.
The Vikings
Augustana had a busy week in Florida, beginning with a three-game collection at Florida Southern. The Vikings logged their first sweep of the season towards the Mocs, then traveled north to Orlando for per week of seven video games. AU went 4-2-1, with Florida climate halting the ultimate sport of the week to finish in a 2-2 tie.
Carter Howell batted .412 with a .941 slugging proportion because the Vikings went 3-2-1 on their Spring Break journey to Florida. He slugged three house runs and 12 RBI, each crew highs. Howell totaled seven hits, six runs scored and struck out simply twice in 17 at-bats.
On the mound, Tanner Brown threw an entire sport giving up simply two unearned runs towards Wayne State (Mich.). Within the seven-inning contest, he gave up six hits, two unearned runs and struck out six batters.
Up Subsequent
Augustana will host St. Cloud State this weekend in a three-game collection, beginning with a Saturday doubleheader. The Vikings will end out the month of March at Ronken Discipline.
