What an excellent sunny day it was when the Hammond Backyard Membership held their assembly this month on the Oak Knoll Nation Membership, and the climate being what it was should have been a sign of how great the speaker Mr. John Grimm could be.

He got here to us from his “Camellia Heaven” farm in Bush, Louisiana, and resides in our pretty metropolis of Hammond.

Mr. Grimm, or Jack as many name him, got here with an exquisite slideshow all about his cherished camellias and expounded on the 5,000 bushes that grace the grounds of his farm.
