Backyard membership participates in “Sustainable Gardening”

The March assembly of the DeSoto Civic Backyard Membership was held on the M. R. Davis Public Library in Southaven.  Membership member Sandy Noble, featured speaker, introduced a program on “Sustainable Gardening.”  

Throughout this time, she defined the what, why and learn how to membership members in developing their very own residing soil for vegetable and flower gardens.  After her rationalization of the method in creating residing soil (soil with out chemical compounds), Sandy gave all members a chance to create their very own soil by combining vermiculite, perlite, and sifted natural soil. 

 On the conclusion of the assembly, everybody was offered seeds and egg cartons to make use of as a starter for their very own sustainable gardens.
