Bishop Darrell Cummings teaches native college students about Dr. King’s legacy

OHIO COUNTY, W.Va. (WTRF) —

“I’ve a dream.”

Bishop Darrell Cummings, Pastor of The Bethlehem Apostolic Temple, started his weekend with talking engagements main as much as Martin Luther King Day.

Friday, he spoke to college students at Cornerstone Christian Academy in Beech Backside.

His message included instructing and movies involving the life and instances of Dr. King.

The lecture included components of King’s well-known ” I Have A Dream Speech” in addition to phrases of different leaders of the Civil Rights Motion.

Cummings inspired the kids to have a dream of their very own and stated he hoped the teachings of Dr. King has an affect on their lives.

“I hope that you simply noticed that you’ve got to select. You must take a stand and you may change the world. And I hope that I’m chatting with a bunch of Dr. Kings. And maybe when any person new comes to highschool or any person new strikes within the neighborhood and God forbid any person else mistreats them, that you’ll make a alternative and make a stand.”
