Craftsman who made Putin’s meme-inspiring desk says he hopes it is going to carry ‘good luck’

He has been amused by the memes that popped up on the web. “They had been actually humorous. Clearly the desk made an enormous impression. I noticed that somebody had made it seem like a see-saw, which was enjoyable. Another person had superimposed poles as if it was a lap-dancing stage. It was even become a curling piste. It might be honest to say that it’s a desk that evokes creativity.”

Mr Pologna stated he made the desk whereas engaged on a challenge for one of many Kremlin palaces in 1995-1997.

Safety was very tight, he recalled. “We had passes to enter and exit the palace. The items of wooden needed to go by way of scanners, no images had been allowed.”
