Firefighters knocked down a hearth and rescued a canine at a house Thursday in Backyard Grove.
Firefighters have been dispatched at 3:15 p.m. to the 9200 block of Bixby Avenue, between Magnolia and Gilbert streets, with a knockdown declared at 3:37 p.m., the Orange County Hearth Authority reported. The canine was not injured.
No accidents have been reported and a explanation for the hearth was below investigation.
