Former PPP/C Minister of Finance Saisnarine Kowlessar is tipped to be Guyana’s new Excessive Commissioner to India, well-placed sources say.
Kowlessar is predicted to exchange disgraced former Excessive Commissioner Charrandass Persaud whose tenure was delivered to an finish final 12 months after his vile verbal abuse of a girl in New Delhi.
Kowlessar served as Finance Minister from 1999 to 2006 after the then Finance Minister, Bharrat Jagdeo acceded to the presidency.
In December of 2020, Kowlessar was appointed as chairman of the board of the Guyana Income Authority.
