TOKYO (Reuters) – Japan’s authorities should reply to any injury latest rising costs inflict on consumption and the financial system, Finance Minister Shunichi Suzuki stated on Wednesday.

“Whereas the latest rises in costs are pushed partly by foreign money strikes, they’re predominantly because of growing world gasoline prices,” Suzuki informed parliament.

“If costs rise earlier than wages … that might harm family revenue and have an effect on consumption,” he stated.
