Jan 21 (Reuters) – Twitter proprietor Elon Musk tweeted on Saturday {that a} larger priced subscription of the social media platform won’t carry ads.

The billionaire additionally mentioned that advertisements are “too frequent on Twitter and too huge,” and that steps shall be taken to deal with these points in coming weeks.

Twitter didn’t instantly reply to a request for remark.

Twitter earns almost 90% of its income from promoting digital advertisements and Musk just lately attributed a “huge drop in income” to rights organizations which have pressured manufacturers to pause their Twitter advertisements.

Earlier in December, Musk introduced that Twitter’s Fundamental blue tick can have half the variety of ads and that it’s going to supply the next tier with no ads by 2023.
