RALEIGH, N.C. — The North Carolina Division of Well being and Human Companies (NCDHHS) introduced that greater than $3 million in funds have been awarded to 9 faculties and universities throughout the state to extend entry to help and restoration providers for college kids battling substance abuse.

In response to a launch from the division, the brand new funding will assist tackle a rising want for behavioral well being care entry for younger adults and follows the division’s plan to enhance behavioral well being and resilience throughout the state.

Collegiate Restoration Applications (CRPs) have been round for over 4 a long time and had been developed in response to the expansion in drug and alcohol abuse amongst youngsters and younger adults.
