A New Canaan landlord has landed himself in scorching water after he turned off the warmth on his tenants, based on police.

Dinesh Parmar, 63, was arrested at police headquarters on March 10 after investigators obtained a criticism of a landlord turning off utilities at a residence on Garibaldi Lane.

The caller advised police the warmth and electrical energy have been not working within the condominium, and that the owner was accountable for protecting the utilities.

After an investigation, police say they decided Parmar had been accountable for the utilities being turned off to the condominium.

Parmar was given a promise to seem in courtroom on March 31.
