A Phoenix man has been sentenced to 12 years in jail after robbing six Arizona banks and telling authorities he did so to repay a debt with the Mexican cartel, officers mentioned.

The U.S. Lawyer’s Workplace in Arizona mentioned Jeffrey Patterson was sentenced to 155 months in jail and three years of supervised launch after pleading responsible to a few expenses: financial institution theft, armed financial institution theft and brandishing a firearm throughout a violent crime.

The 45-year-old was arrested in March 2021 after he was caught robbing a Chase Financial institution in Cave Creek.
