PLATTSBURGH — New backyard members, returning gardeners and others enthusiastic about renting a Plattsburgh Neighborhood Backyard plot ought to submit their plot functions and/or plot charges quickly.
The backyard group operates a 60-plot backyard in Melissa L. Penfield Park and a 14-plot backyard on the Plattsburgh Housing Authority on South Catherine Road.
The charge at Penfield is $35 per plot, which incorporates entry to water, compost and instruments in a caring neighborhood devoted to natural gardening. PHA gardeners pay $25 for a similar providers. PHA residents backyard at no cost.
