James A.D. “Jimmy” Lemmon, 17, of Tower Metropolis, handed away Thursday, January 12, 2023, from accidents sustained in an car accident in Williams Township.

Born in Pottsville, February 28, 2005, Jimmy was a senior member of the category of 2023 at Williams Valley Jr. Sr. Excessive College. He had an excellent ardour for baseball from a really younger age. He performed T-ball, Little League, Teener League, and was a member of the Williams Valley Varsity Baseball Group. He was a fan of the Philadelphia Phillies.

Lately Jimmy started working at Walmart in Elizabethville. He was very proud to have a job and make his personal cash.

Jimmy and his mother had a bond between them that was second to none. To say Melissa worshipped her boy, can be an enormous understatement.

A typical teenage boy, Jimmy loved taking part in video video games and hanging out along with his pals. He may very well be discovered at each Williams Valley sporting occasion within the pupil part cheering on his pals. He was simply that sort of buddy – all the time there for you and all the time encouraging you with a smile. In case you had been fortunate sufficient to name Jimmy your buddy, you had been blessed.

He was preceded in demise by his pap, Lee Nunemacher, Sr., whom he cherished immensely and an uncle Lee Nunemacher, Jr.

Surviving are his mother, Melissa Nunemacher and her fiancee, Bruce Bender; his grandmother, Sharon Nunemacher; a stepsister, Camille Lemmon; two stepbrothers, Jonathan and Bruce Bender; a niece, Mercedes, who as Jimmy would say was his finest buddy; aunts, uncles, cousins, and plenty of pals.

Funeral companies shall be held on Thursday, January 19, 2023 at 8:00 pm from the Christ United Methodist Church, Tower Metropolis, with Pastor Annette Shutt officiating. Viewing shall be from 6-8 pm on the church. Jimmy shall be laid to relaxation privately within the St. Peter’s Cemetery, Orwin.

When Jimmy obtained his driver’s license he selected to be an organ donor. On account of his resolution, peoples’ lives shall be improved due to the outstanding younger man.

Richard John Slotterback, 92, of Lavelle, handed from the arms of his beloved spouse and youngsters into the presence of God whereas at dwelling in Lavelle on Friday, January 13, 2023.

Born October 27, 1930 in Lavelle, he was the son of the late Man and Helen (Overkott) Slotterback. After graduating from the previous Ashland Excessive College in 1949, he honorably served within the U.S. Military in the course of the Korean Battle, incomes the Good Conduct and Nationwide Protection Service Medals. Early in life, he labored in his father’s Chevrolet Automobile Dealership as a mechanic and drove college busses and long-haul vehicles. Later he labored as a machinist/welder at Kennedy Van Saun Co in Danville and Delta Truck Physique in Leesport.

Family and friends alike discovered Richard a one-of-a-kind man, an old-world gentleman with a twinkle in his eye, fast wit, and love of phrase play. He honed his cow-milking expertise in childhood, set the clock forward in class to shorten the day when the trainer stepped out of the one room schoolhouse, grew immense cantaloupe in his bountiful backyard which he hand-cultivated, and wore pink suspenders and pink socks. He cherished music, journey, cats, birds, flowers, sunsets and each day walks in nature, all of which he loved by way of his final days on this world. Above all, he was a loving devoted husband to his beloved spouse Ruth Ann and a faithful father to John and Sally. He was certainly beloved on the earth.

Along with his dad and mom, he was preceded in demise by brothers Man and Robert, and sisters, Anna, Marion, and Grace.

Richard is survived by his spouse of over 57 years, Ruth Ann (Yost) Slotterback; son John Slotterback of Catawissa; daughter Sally Slotterback of Lavelle; sister Elva Slotterback of Orwigsburg, together with nieces and nephews.

Relations and pals are invited to attend a Graveside Service of Christian Burial with army honors, at 12 midday on Monday, January sixteenth, 2023 in Citizen’s Cemetery, Lavelle. Officiating shall be Mr. John Kessler. In Lieu of flowers, the household requests memorials be made to Hillside SPCA, Inc., PO Field 233, Pottsville, PA 17901 or Christ Evangelical Congregational Church, P.O. Field 202, Lavelle, PA. 17943.
