Windham Veevaert, of Searsport, was promoted to the rank of captain over the February drill interval for Ahead Assist Firm, 133rd Engineer Battalion.
Veevaert has been a member of the Maine Military Nationwide Guard for seven years and is presently the commander of the Ahead Assist Firm.
“I really feel very honored and grateful to be promoted to captain,” stated Veevaert, in a Maine Nationwide Guard information launch. “My mother and father have been each Military officers, so it’s a huge milestone for me personally. Being promoted can also be a reminder of the responsibility and accountability related to management. Veevaert works full-time because the command provide companies officer at Joint Pressure Headquarters in Augusta.
