State Rep. Matthew Wilson (D-Brookhaven) has certified to run for Georgia Insurance coverage and Security Hearth Commissioner.

Wilson, a Brookhaven resident, will run towards Republican appearing Commissioner John King, who additionally formally introduced his bid for the seat in April of 2021. Gov. Brian Kemp appointed King as insurance coverage commissioner in 2019 after the elected official, Jim Beck, was indicted on federal fraud and cash laundering prices.
