At the moment, the Treasury Division’s Workplace of Overseas Property Management (OFAC) imposed blocking sanctions on 24 Belarusian people and entities for supporting or in any other case facilitating Russia’s actions in Ukraine, together with two important Belarusian banks, a sequence of protection firms, and authorities officers.
These people and entities have been added to OFAC’s Listing of Specifically Designated Nationals (SDN). U.S. individuals are broadly prohibited from conducting enterprise with SDNs or entities owned 50 % or extra by SDNs, and U.S. individuals should formally “block” (freeze and report) any property or pursuits in property which are in an SDN’s possession or management.
OFAC’s newest additions to the SDN checklist embrace:
- Two state-owned Belarusian monetary establishments – Belarussian Financial institution of Growth and Reconstruction Belinvestbank Joint Inventory Firm and Financial institution Dabrabyt Joint-Inventory Firm;
- 11 companies working within the protection and safety industries of the Belarusian economic system – Minsk Wheeled Tractor Plant, State Authority for Navy Trade of the Republic of Belarus, State Owned Overseas Commerce Unitary Enterprise Belspetsvneshtechnika, OJSC KB Radar-Managing Firm Holding Radar System, JSC 558 Plane Restore Plant, Public Joint Inventory Firm Integral, Industrial-Business Personal Unitary Enterprise Minotor-Service, OOO Oboronnye Initsiativy, OKB TSP Scientific Manufacturing Restricted Legal responsibility Firm, LLC Synesis, and LLC 24×7 Panoptes;
- 5 people working within the protection and safety industries of the Belarusian economic system;
- Two Minsk-based firms – Restricted Legal responsibility Firm Belinvest-Engineering and CJSC Belbizneslizing; and
- 4 Belarussian officers.
OFAC additionally issued Normal Licenses 6 and 7, which authorize transactions with the above SDNs regarding the official enterprise of the U.S. authorities and worldwide organizations and entities.
